The Address Cassis

The poolside touches made our six days at The Address feel special, from fruit or ice cream in the afternoon to breakfast delivered to our terrace in the morning. Eric and Sabine were wonderful hosts, and every part of the stay, from arrival through our departure yesterday, felt beyond perfect. Our room was lovely, right down to the Japanese toilet. There are plenty of first class restaurants nearby and lots of natural beauty to explore. Cassis is a lovely beach town, and The Address felt like a true oasis. Thank you, Sabine and Eric, for such a memorable vacation. We miss you already and can’t wait to return.

We had an easy walk down to the port of Cassis, and the place itself felt like a tropical oasis. The pool and loungers were great for swimming, reading, napping, or just stretching out, and the water temperature was perfect. The room matched the website description, with lovely art and interior design, comfortable robes, a great shower, and a Japanese style bidet. Breakfast was incredible: fresh fruit, pastries, fresh OJ, good coffee, and the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Booking online was easy, and the hosts kept in touch before we arrived. Check-in had a lovely energy, and we were welcomed with a glass of local wine. Eric and Sabine were incredible hosts. I absolutely recommend staying here and wish them and The Address every success.

Two nights went by too quickly, and I hope I can return. The room was quiet, comfortable, and spotless, with a great view, and the pool was a delight. Breakfasts were delicious too. Erik and Sabine made us feel cared for from the moment we arrived. Erik welcomed us with a glass of wine while telling us about Cassis, then arranged dinner reservations for us.

The Address made our time in Cassis even better. From the hilltop setting, we had lovely views of the water and hillside from the balconies and seating areas. We visited in February, so the beautiful pool was too cold for a swim, but I could picture how nice it would be poolside in warmer weather. We stayed in the upstairs Master suite. It's not large, but clever design and thoughtful touches make it feel just right, and being upstairs gives it the best view. The soft, heavenly bed, the breeze through an open window, the button operated blinds, and the fancy toilet bidet all made it feel like a little oasis. Eric and Sabine are terrific hosts. They offered recommendations, directions, airport transport, and help with bags. Our flight delay left us arriving at the gate after midnight, SEVEN hours behind schedule, but Eric was still cheerful and happy to help. He was always around for questions, advice, or a chat. Sabine is a bit shyer, but just as hospitable, and she makes breakfast each day. We had warm sliced baguette, butter, jams, fruit, juice, coffee, and whatever else we wanted within reason, including eggs, homemade yogurt, and Sabine's amazing pancakes. Eric said they were the best, and he was right. Don't wait until your last day to try one like we did. My husband wanted to see the French coast again this year. We considered Marseilles, then picked Cassis, and I'm so glad we did. It's a beautiful, fun, old and new little town at the foot of a steep hill leading down to the harbor and Mediterranean. It somehow feels magical and incredibly relaxing. I've stayed in lots of lovely places in Hawaii, Europe, and Asia, but this was the most tranquil spot I've been to. I already miss it and can't wait to come back.
