We came as a hiking group of 20 and stayed for a week. Everyone had a great time, and the food had plenty of variety, from French dishes to local fare and Portuguese specialties. The restaurant was full every night, even at the end of the season, which made it clear how popular the place is. The building has a lot of character and sits right in the center of beautiful Castellane. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

We had the day's homemade dish, which was delicious and nicely cooked, along with a very good bottle of rosé. Water and bread came with the meal even though we hadn't ordered them. The bill was 49 euros, and we left a nice tip. It's an authentic, pleasant place, with staff who were both friendly and quick.

The owners were nice and the hotel was clean, but I couldn't get rid of the sewer smell coming from my bathroom. I tried airing the room out, even in the middle of November, but ended up having to sleep with the smell.

My partner and I ate at the restaurant twice during our time in Castellane. It can get crowded, but the wait was worth it, especially for the Portuguese dishes, which were the best. Isabelle and Chrystel looked after us so well and made both visits special. I'd recommend it to couples who want a relaxed meal.
