Casa a Stretta

The apartment upstairs was lovely for the four of us, tastefully furnished, comfortable and very clean. We only stayed one night, but the quiet made it feel wonderfully restful, and the view was breathtaking. We were greeted so warmly by the host. I think we'll be back next year and stay longer. With comfortable beds, this might at least have been a relaxing stay. As it was, they weren't. The cleaning also needed more attention, since we found cigarette butts. We weren't welcomed by the host, and there was no balcony for the upstairs apartment. The terrace was in front of the other apartment downstairs, so we couldn't sit outside and enjoy the lovely view. The restaurant next door was shut, and in June nothing else was open.

We loved the apartment's sunny balcony, which gets sun from morning until evening, and found the place very clean and well equipped. Sylvie and Philippe are warm, wonderful hosts who make each guest's arrival feel personal. Philippe also gave us great tips for seeing Corsica away from the usual routes. We spent a peaceful week recharging in an exceptional setting, and are already looking forward to coming back.

The welcome was perfect, with a thoughtful, attentive couple looking after us. Everything is in good condition and well maintained. It's a beautiful traditional village house typical of the region. The upstairs apartment has two bedrooms, while the one below has a lovely secluded terrace with a stunning view across the landscape. The lower apartment is also gorgeous, with vaulted ceilings.
