Gîte de La Source Gilhodes

The building is splendid, full of history and charm, and we felt at home right away. Vincent welcomed us with so much warmth and passion. The park is magnificent and lovingly maintained by Nathalie, and there’s a swimming pool and jacuzzi. It’s an ideal place to recharge. Vincent’s enthusiasm for the history of the place is contagious, and the service and cleanliness were impeccable. Staying here feels like stepping back in time.

I stayed three nights at La Source Gilhodes. The rooms are really lovely, and the service was good. It’s a beautiful farmhouse in a perfect setting. The only small downside is that it’s a bit far from Espalion, but that’s a minor drawback.

The breakfast was complete and delicious: freshly squeezed orange juice, excellent coffee, crusty bread, homemade jams, and the day’s homemade brioche fouace. The owner also served us a fresh homemade meal with local products. Everything felt friendly and peaceful. We arrived at the property in the late afternoon under a blazing sun, and the owners welcomed us to a beautifully renovated farmhouse made up of several buildings. The grounds, craftsmanship, and hospitality made the stay feel really immersive. After a tour of the grounds, we found the gîte was just right, with a swimming pool, sauna, grounds, and a shaded terrace for meals. The trip is worth making, especially along the forest path. It takes longer than the GR 65 from Saint-Chély-d'Aubrac, but it's shaded. This place is well worth visiting and coming back to. Thank you so much!
