We had a lovely time here and felt at home straight away. The retired couple who own the place were warm and welcoming, and I enjoyed chatting with them. There was also a great tasting of extra local products. Parking was easy, right outside on private land, and since the owners live on the same property, it's easy to have a chat if you feel like it. The whole place has a very family feel.

The house is well placed for getting to the ocean, about 35 minutes by car, and the wine region is only 10 minutes away. We booked on Booking.com for two adults and one child, but because of the COVID situation we ended up being two adults and two children. It was a bit tight, though there was enough room and we were happy with our choice. The owners live next door and welcomed us very warmly. They left us a bottle of wine and homemade jam, plus coffee and tea for the first day. After that, they treated us to local specialties and tasty vegetables from their garden. The air conditioning was a real lifesaver on some days and nights. There's a small outdoor seating area and a barbecue. The children could use the play equipment in the hosts' garden, but not the pool. We did miss having a dishwasher. For the price, it was very good value, and we'd recommend it to couples and families with up to two children.
