The room had a damp smell, and the hostess made us feel unwelcome from the start. At the door, she said check-in was at 6 pm. I asked what there was to see nearby and got a curt reply that Luxembourg was very close. The meal was deplorable: canned mixed vegetables with mayonnaise and a quarter of an egg for a starter, plus tap water. Lunch was just one pre-baked baguette for two and a slice of brioche each. When we asked for more bread, she said there was none left and guests usually had enough. After seeing our reaction, she offered bread from the freezer. The coffee was awful, too. I’ve never had such a poor bed and breakfast experience. Absolutely not recommended. This establishment is a disgrace.

The room was clean, with nice cardboard furniture, and the meal was good, though much too heavy for the evening. We waited over half an hour because the hostess had gone to the Drive to get her shopping, which is serious. She was unpleasant. The tap water wasn't good, and the wine supplement was far too expensive. You couldn't order drinks by the glass. At breakfast she took the coffee back, which just isn't done.

I’ve never stayed there, though my grandparents live across the street. The Gîte de France is conveniently close to Luxembourg, which seems like a plus.
