Au Bonheur Nomade

We only stayed two nights on the way to a big holiday park, and wished we'd booked more. The kids headed off to badminton and go-karts as soon as we arrived, and the place felt safe enough for us to relax. We also loved swimming with the fish in the pool. Our giant yurt contemporaine had loads of room for our family of five. It was close enough to the main barn to be convenient, but far enough away that we couldn't hear everyone. It was really good value compared with booking two hotel rooms. The shared kitchen brought back memories of backpacking in our twenties, and we liked chatting with people from all over. Such a relaxed place, and we hope to come back.

The natural pool, with its fish and waterfall, is a wonderful addition and suits the feel of the place so well. We were very happy with the welcome at Bonheur Nomade on our second visit, this time with our two children, aged 3 years and 6 months. There was plenty to keep our three-year-old busy. The shared spaces are clean and well equipped, and the atmosphere is friendly. If you'd rather keep to yourself, that's easy too, since the spacious accommodation gives you room to be private. It made for a very relaxing, stress-free break. The owners are attentive and put a lot into the place despite how much work they have. We'll definitely be back.

Every time we've come back, we've enjoyed it just as much. This was visit number three, and it still felt peaceful, refreshing, and like a real change of scenery. The unusual accommodation and natural pool are such a treat, especially swimming among those beautiful carp. The welcome is always warm. We'd happily recommend it and will be back again.
