La Castagne

We stayed here for a week in July 2023, then booked two stays for July 2024. That probably says enough about how much we enjoyed our holiday, and the second visit was just as good. The indoor pool was simply wonderful, and the guesthouse has been thoughtfully set up for families. Our five-year-old felt right at home, with everything considered for a child, and was even more independent than at home. The place is comfortable, tastefully decorated, well arranged, and exceptionally clean and well maintained. The kitchen is fully equipped for whatever you need. It’s also a great base for exploring the area, a few minutes from L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, close to major roads but still out in the countryside. Nearby you’ll find lively, colorful markets, restaurants at every price point, and a well-serviced village with a pharmacy, excellent bakery, supermarket, and more. Véronique and François are a passionate, engaging couple, both kind and discreet. They’re happy to suggest local places based on what you’re looking for, and do everything they can to make the stay enjoyable. We were there as a couple with our young son, and their warm welcome made the holiday unforgettable.

After such a good first visit, we were delighted to come back to the Gîte de la Castagne. Véronique and François welcomed us so kindly, and we enjoyed the swimming pool and jacuzzi. We’re already looking forward to another return.
