We used the campsite as a base for Ajaccio and took the boat across the bay instead of trying to park in the city. The pitches are lovely and spacious, with plenty of shade. There’s a nice bar on site, and shops, a restaurant, a fuel station, and a small golf course right next door. Really enjoyed our stay.

The location is excellent, with shops and other things nearby, but the campsite is very run-down and unkempt. There were hardly any campers around. It could be so much better.

The shaded pitches are a plus, and the beach and village are within a reasonable distance. There are also a few shops at the entrance, and the receptionist was positive. But I wouldn’t rate this as a 4-star campsite. It feels more like a 2- or 3-star place. The sanitary facilities are the main problem for us. The layout and equipment look old, the showers have low pressure and need to be restarted often, and the men’s corner had ceramic fittings I haven’t seen since the 90s. There’s an unpleasant smell in that area. Even with frequent cleaning, the overall impression stays poor. In our view, sanitary facilities are the most important feature of a campsite, which is why we choose 4-star grounds. This one hasn’t earned that rating. We didn’t use the restaurant, pool, sports area, minigolf, or mobile homes, so can’t assess them. We’d suggest the management visit some 3-star campsites within 40 km. We’ve stayed at those, and their standard is higher.

There are shops and a minimarket just 50 meters from the entrance, and ACSI discounts are available in low season. The campsite is beside the main road, so there’s some noise. We visited out of season, when the pool and restaurant were closed and only one toilet and shower block was open. It isn’t on the coast, and although the beach is close, you have to drive there because there are no cycle paths.

The accommodation wasn’t very good, and the bathrooms were dirty. I definitely wouldn’t call this a 4-star campsite. Unfortunately, there aren’t many other campsites around.
