The staff were very pleasant, and the hotel was quiet, but it’s an old, run-down place. The rooms were small and tired, and the toilet didn’t work well. Showers were okay. Breakfast and dinner there were edible at best. It’s a five-minute walk from the center of this small town.

The owners and staff were amazing. We stayed one night as a family of five, all in one room with five single beds, before setting off to hike in the Pyrenees. It was perfect. We’d definitely stay here again next time we’re in town.

The rooms are okay, though the bathroom is very small. Breakfast isn’t worth €10: there wasn’t even fresh baguette on the buffet, much less fresh fruit.

The location is excellent, and although the rooms are a little dated, they’re very clean. Breakfast was simple. The whole team was pleasant and smiling, and gave us a really warm welcome, which was a big plus. I highly recommend it. It was very good!

This place felt genuine and authentic, and the way they help you has that true mountain feel. By chance, I learned they’re the oldest hotelier family in Cauterets, and they really know their business. A visit feels like stepping into the history of Cauterets.
