Hôtel Du Midi

I’ve rented an apartment at Résidence du Midi for four years now. It’s pleasant and very clean, and only a short walk from the spa. I highly recommend it.

For about ten years, I’ve rented through Thermalliance while coming for spa treatments, first at Résidence des Thermes and later at Résidence du Midi. The apartments are just steps from the thermal baths, and this one is bright, high-standard and tastefully furnished, with very comfortable bedding, a modern, functional layout and spotless cleanliness. The owners are friendly, welcoming and always ready to help, and treat you like a friend. Le Parys is an excellent restaurant for a meal alone or with friends. It has a pleasant setting, ideal terraces, and generous portions of excellent quality. I highly recommend it!

The apartments are quiet, well equipped and very well located, just 100 meters from the thermal baths, with private parking. We’re warmly welcomed, and Patricia goes out of her way to make us happy. The Parys restaurant is fantastic, with delicious food and generous portions. The ice cream is excellent too. See you next year! 👍

We’re extremely disappointed. We couldn’t come to Barbotan for our planned April 2024 treatment because my husband has been on long-term sick leave (ALD) since November 2023 and has been undergoing chemotherapy since the end of January 2024. I notified the agency of our cancellation in December 2023 and explained the exceptional circumstances, but despite several emails, we still haven’t got our deposit back. It’s sad that they can profit from spa guests who have to book accommodation for the following year at the same time as their treatment. Even with an oncologist’s certificate, there seems to be no exception for a refund. The spa resort returned our deposit 15 days after we sent them a letter, which makes this especially disheartening. We’d been coming to the same place and renting there regularly for two years, so other landlords knew us. Since we gave notice more than three months before treatment, we believe the landlord had time to rent the apartment again. After our last email on June 17, 2024, and a registered letter sent in early July 2024, the person didn’t even bother to reply, let alone read our email. Avoid this address. It shows a complete lack of humanity.
