Camping du pas des biches

We only had one night here, which was a shame because the staff were so friendly and helpful, and the setting among vineyards and sunflower fields was lovely. We arrived just in time for a pineau and cognac tasting in the cellar with Patrick, one of the owners. The campsite has all the basics you need, including clean hot showers. We hope we can stay longer next time!

I came on a bikepacking trip planning to stay two nights, and ended up staying four days. It’s a small, family-run campsite in the cognac region, with a friendly, guest-focused family and clean facilities. There’s table tennis, table soccer and a swimming pool, plus a free tasting of their own tasty pineau and cognac. The price is very good too. Definitely recommend it.

The site was peaceful and quiet, with simple but clean facilities and a lovely little pool that was great for cooling off in the heat. Claire and her father Patrick were such friendly, helpful hosts. We had a great evening at the cognac tasting in his private cellar and bar. It was free, though we bought some of his local Cognac and Pineau. They also held a Moule festival evening, great value at 20€ a head for four courses, wine and an aperitif. We’ll definitely be back. Mark and Angie from Surrey.

It was a lovely stop for one night. We were warmly welcomed and shown several pitches we could choose from. The facilities were great, with hot showers, plenty of sinks, washing machines and a fridge/freezer. We were just passing through, but would absolutely have stayed longer otherwise. Thanks for having us 😊
