Le Galoubet

We were cycling with our luggage, hot and thirsty, and just wanted a drink. The place was half empty, but the man serving us refused to give us a table, saying tables were only for people eating. He sent us to a wooden bench in the sun, away from everyone else, so we left without ordering. We were horrified by how rude he was, a real pig. I saw the owner's reply saying all the tables had been reserved, but that really wasn't true. As we left, the waiter said something rude about us to other guests, perhaps not realizing we understood him perfectly, or perhaps he didn't care. Is this that famous French hospitality? What a disgrace. The reviews include plenty of similar stories: a woman who was refused bathroom access despite spending money there, a family turned away because they had children, generally poor service, and prices that don't match the quality. Really, avoid this place!
