L'Autourserie

The Autourserie was just 450 m from the wedding reception, so it worked out perfectly for us. We’d come to Chahaignes for a wedding at the Gîte d'Asnière and found this place by chance. The room was lovely, clean, and well laid out, and breakfast was top notch. It was quiet, with a beautiful setting for anyone who loves nature, and Frantz was such a friendly host. We really enjoyed our stay and the conversations with him. Thanks so much for the warm welcome.

We were two cyclists bikepacking and needed somewhere to stop as we made our way along the route. Even though we contacted him at the last minute and his booking site doesn't handle instant reservations, our host, Frantz I think, still made a point of honoring ours. He made us feel welcome the whole time. The room was basic and no-frills, but clean and practical. Such a generous experience in a beautiful natural setting, with none of the fuss.

The kids loved being around all the animals during our stay: dogs, turtles, chickens, sheep, bats, birds, ducks, and fish. La Flèche Zoo is 45 minutes away. Franz also spent time sharing those moments with them, and suggested things to do while telling us about the region, the animals, and related jobs. We stayed in an old house with lots of green space and a pond. The room was comfortable, with a good bed, a spacious bathroom, TV, and Wi-Fi. We got a lovely welcome, and only wish we’d had longer. We’ll have to come back for another shared passion, music.
