Château de Challain

I’ve filmed several weddings here, and the castle still amazes me every time. It’s a joy to work in, with lovely natural light and a layout that gives you plenty to work with. There are so many tucked-away spots for quiet moments, which helps make each shot feel thoughtful and cinematic. I’d recommend it to couples and fellow creatives looking for a high-end experience in a historic setting.

Cynthia arranged a different experience for us every day, and each one went beyond what I expected. The chef’s meals were delicious, and somehow surprised me every time. The staff looked after our every need and made us feel so welcome. We stayed at the Chateau last week for a family vacation, and it was fantastic. I can’t wait to come back for another fairytale adventure. It’ll be hard for any future trip to top this one.

The hosts make you feel like a friend they’re glad to have around, and that warmth is a big part of the château’s charm. It’s beautifully designed, with an elegance that stays with you. The days seemed to slow down here. Sunlight came through the tall windows in the morning, while the gardens grew quiet by evening. Château Chalain La Pottery is a rare place I’d happily return to again and again.

The fireworks were the finishing touch on a weekend we’ll remember for a long time. There was candlelight at dinner, dancing outside, and horse-drawn carriage rides while the wedding party took photos. We also had harp music, plus breakfast and lunch on the wedding day. I’m not trying to be cliché, but my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding really was magical. We were in awe from the moment we arrived, including the welcome pig roast dinner the night before. It surpassed every expectation. Thank you, Cynthia, Teal, and the whole team for such a memorable weekend.
