Everything else seemed fine, but this left me unimpressed. I’d brought my own tissues and left them on the table outside the bathroom so I could use them to clean other things. When I returned, the bathroom tissues hadn’t been changed. Instead, the housekeeper had moved my tissues into the bathroom. That really didn’t look good. Housekeepers should be trained not to put customers’ own tissues in the bathroom like that.

The room was basic, but fine for a single night, and the WiFi worked well. It was also an easy walk into town. The problem was that neither the shower nor the sink had hot water, so I couldn’t wash properly. Because of that, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to stay here again.

If you arrive late, head to the regular Ibis, not the budget one, since the reception is open around the clock there. The two hotels are about 15 metres apart and share a parking area. Staff will give you one code for the Ibis Budget, which is locked at night, and another for your room. They were friendly, and the rooms were clean, with a private shower and toilet. The hotel is on the edge of town, so you’ll need a car to get there.

For a one-night stop on our way to the south of France, this was good enough. The beds and rooms were clean, and breakfast was simple but adequate.
