ibis styles Chalons en Champagne Centre

I appreciated how professional, ethical, and helpful the staff were. The room was neat, clean, and well maintained, and the location is excellent: you step outside straight into the fair area. I expected a little more from the Ibis brand, though the stay was generally positive. There’s no refrigerator or kettle in the room. Breakfast was the weakest part, with limited variety and very few options beyond eggs and cheese. A better selection would make the experience much better.

I’d come back just for breakfast. The choice was minimal, but everything they served was exquisite, and the quality made the whole experience for me. I only stayed one night, and this was exactly what I look for in French hotels. A good fit if you’d rather have a few well-prepared things than a large, mediocre buffet.

The room was cold, and the thermostat wouldn’t turn up. The receptionist checked the heating and thought the room itself was at fault, so we moved, but the next room had the same problem. In both bathrooms, the shower seal was split. We also had no hot water for an evening shower. Accor really needs to improve the quality of the rooms here. Very poor.

The staff were warm and welcoming, which made our overnight stop on the way back to the Euro Tunnel very enjoyable. The rooms were a good size, comfortable, quiet, and had nice beds. Breakfast was pleasant but fairly standard, nothing special. We had a lovely stay.
