We caught a fantastic concert by French pianist Thomas Enhco in this lovely old theatre right in the centre of Chambéry.

The interior decoration is well worth a look. The theatre carries the "Scène Nationale" label, as does the Espace Malraux, and technical constraints mean that major productions often take place there. Named for Savoyard actor and director Charles Dullin, it was rebuilt in 1866 after the earlier building, dating from 1824, was destroyed by fire.

The concert itself was nice, but our seats were so bad that we left. We had paid €20 per person for open seating and ended up on the third floor side balcony, in seats that shouldn't exist. The seats facing the stage on the top floor were empty, but security said they were reserved for theatre staff. In the photo, only two people could actually see the show.
