Gîte la Champeigne

The half-board meals were generous and excellent, and it was lovely not to have to think about dinner after a day out. Françoise took care of that, while Benoît was always smiling and happy to help. The gîte itself is made for comfort, with roomy bedrooms and living space, a big practical kitchen, and everything impeccably clean. There’s also an enclosed garden, a secure pool, and games. We had a fantastic week in early August. The region is beautiful, and we still didn’t manage to see it all in a week. We’ll be back, and hope you don’t change a thing.

The meal was very well organized and excellent, and the cottage is spacious, clean, and in an ideal spot. Highly recommended. We just got unlucky with the rain, but it’s a beautiful region.

Outside, we had hot showers, a vegetable garden, and a pétanque court, plus a clean, well-kept pool at just the right temperature. There were plenty of loungers for sun and parasols for shade. Inside felt like home: everything was spotless, the bedrooms were spacious with lots of storage, and there were several bathrooms and toilets. The kitchen had everything we needed, and cooking for 15 was actually a pleasure. The huge dining table could’ve been from Hogwarts! We had a wonderful, refreshing week. Thanks for everything.

The welcome was really friendly, and the owners’ description was spot on. It’s a lovely cottage with plenty of space outside and a beautiful pool, and it’s very well equipped. We’ll come back and recommend it.
