For four days, we couldn’t find anything that explained the hotel’s cheap price. The stay felt well above average, and everyone was kind and careful with us, answering our questions and cleaning the room each day without us needing to ask. The location is great for sightseeing in the town center, and for skiing it’s the closest hotel to Chamonix Center Bus Stop. We recommend it and would choose it again if we return.

We booked at the last minute and got a great room. The staff were very helpful, and the sauna and steam room were a clean bonus. There was one interruption: a fire alarm at 03:30am because people were smoking in their room. It was dealt with quickly and wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

I don’t really get the bad reviews. I was there for two nights over the holiday period, Sunday and Monday, and everything was very good. The town center is close, and my small room suited me perfectly. It had a lovely river view and balcony, and was clean, with a good shower and hot water whenever needed. Reception staff were welcoming and helped with all my questions. Breakfast was decent, about what I expected, and booking the steam hammam or sauna downstairs was a nice extra after a long, freezing day at Aiguille du Midi. The hotel is cozy and nice, and I’d recommend it to solo travelers or couples wanting an affordable, romantic place.

The building and location were great for my recent ski trip, and the price felt fair for what you get. My room was clean and comfortable, with a charming balcony and a nice view. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The sauna and steam room both worked perfectly. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.
