The bed setup was the worst part: the sofa bed had a squeaky, paper-thin old mattress, and we couldn’t sleep on it. We ended up booking a hotel room for our second night. Getting there was a hassle too. After booking, we received 13 emails, then were asked for a deposit and to photograph the property in case anything was damaged and we were held responsible. When we arrived late, the building hallway smelled strongly of smoke. The dated flat hadn’t been cleaned properly, the bathroom was musty, and there was no toilet paper.

The balcony was a highlight, and everything was so close by. The room felt a bit cramped once the sofa bed was folded out, but otherwise it was all good. You get what you pay for.
