The location is great and our holiday was good overall, but we won’t stay at this chalet again. The bedsheets were dirty when we arrived, with hair from the previous guests on them. They seemed to have been washed, though perhaps the washing machine wasn’t up to the job. There were strong winds during our stay, and a tree fell into the building facade. It pierced the wall. If we’d been outside by the ski locker, it could easily have killed me, my wife or one of my young children. A similar tree is still standing and should be removed urgently for future guests’ safety. The host was pleasant face to face, but had no flexibility about timings and got frustrated when we asked basic questions about how things worked in the chalet.

It’s in an excellent spot for walking everywhere, and there’s lots of parking. The apartment is well equipped, with cozy beds and a woodburner, and the yard gives kids plenty of room to play. It is quite pricey, though, and the living room especially needs a refresh since it looks dated and worn.

The chalet was very tidy, well equipped and ideally located for bars, restaurants, buses and lifts. The owner and manager was extremely helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended, and we can’t wait to return.

We stayed with friends at Chalet Sapin 3 from July 24th to 31st, 2021. The view is magnificent, the place is cozy and superbly equipped, with bedrooms that have private bathrooms. There’s parking and a lovely garden, and it’s quiet despite being right in the center of Chamonix. Madame Odile, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect. Go without hesitation!

The central Chamonix location made everything convenient, and it was still very quiet. We spent a week there as a family and found the stay comfortable all around.
