Chalet La Renardire

The view of the Mont Blanc massif, especially the Bossons glacier, is lovely, and the jacuzzi was nice after a day hiking. But the chalet feels small even for its stated capacity of four, and there were only three of us. Its general condition is average, it wasn’t very clean, and there were cobwebs in the bathroom with no cleaning supplies. The terrace was the biggest issue for me. The chalet is about 50 or 100 meters from the Route Blanche toward the Mont Blanc Tunnel and Chamonix, and the traffic is so heavy that spending time outside there is difficult, maybe impossible. The view does make a few compromises worthwhile.

The owner is pleasant, and it’s a peaceful, relaxing place. The inside was smaller than we expected, though, and the cleaning could have been better.

The owner was really kind, and our stay went well. But the inside of the chalet was in pretty average shape because it hadn’t been cleaned. For the chalet’s condition, it costs far too much.

The residence is pleasant and has a beautiful view. The parking area for the chalets has turned into a public parking lot open to everyone, though.
