Chalet Les Frenes

For the price, this chalet is a good deal. Our room was clean and nicely arranged, and breakfast was good. Phil and Michelle clean every day, although the shared living space could look cluttered and dirty at times. We did hear quite a bit of noise at night, but our room was beside the stairs, so another room might be quieter. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs.

We had a great stay at Chalet Les Frenes and would happily return. The place is clean and quiet, with a really pleasant feel, and we got to meet some lovely fellow guests. Being right at the foot of the glacier means the views are stunning. Phil was a terrific host, always helpful and full of local knowledge about hiking and biking. Breakfast comes with the stay, and they even left an early one in the oven for us when we had to leave in a rush. Thanks for such a lovely visit!

Mont Blanc looks beautiful from the balcony, especially with a coffee in hand. The bus stop is right outside, and the train station is about a ten-minute walk away. The hosts are really nice and speak both English and French. The rooms were clean, and the place had all the facilities we needed, including a kitchen for anyone who wants to cook. I'd strongly recommend staying here for a holiday.

We meant to stay one night and ended up here for five because my brother and I liked it so much. The chalet is close to Chamonix but still outside town, with mountain views on both sides that are worth a million dollars. Phil was a great, very helpful host. The WiFi was patchy, but with scenery like this we hardly missed it. Chamonix itself is beautiful, and we hope to come back soon.
