Hôtel de l'Arve by HappyCulture

Sam was especially kind and patient with our family of eight, and went out of her way to help whenever we had questions or needed something. The whole staff made us feel welcome and helped with all sorts of requests. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel de l’Arve. The location was ideal for exploring town and taking in the mountain views. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and cozy after long days out in the Alps. We left with great memories and would definitely stay again if we return to Chamonix.

The receptionist was so nice and helpful, and I’m grateful for everything. It was my first time in France, and getting a room with a view of Mont Blanc made the trip really memorable. The hotel is near the city center, with a bus station and cafes nearby where you can sit with a hot chocolate or coffee and enjoy the view. I’d recommend staying here if you visit Chamonix. One thing for breakfast: maybe ask for people’s room numbers before they start eating, instead of while they’re eating.

This was our fifth time at Hotel L'Arve, and both the hotel and the service keep getting better each year. Samar and the rest of the reception team are incredible, always cheerful and friendly, and seem to anticipate what you might need. The hotel has amazing Mont Blanc views and is almost in the town center, yet the area is quiet. There’s plenty of parking and the hotel has its own grounds. It’s great to see the new owners HappyCulture investing in the place. Well done.

Rooms are a little dated, as you might expect in a lodge-style hotel, but the staff were friendly and happy to answer questions. This place is a great choice if you want convenience and affordability. It’s not really for someone looking for fancy, but it’s ideally placed for reaching Chamonix’s main attractions.
