We stayed one night as a couple with our dog, and paid an extra €20 for the dog. There’s free parking on nearby roads. It’s about a five minute drive into Chamonix, though perhaps a bit far to walk comfortably, so the location suited us. Eden Hotel was a very pleasant surprise and easily the best of the three places we’ve stayed in Chamonix, the other two being AirBnB. Our loft room was clean and comfortable, with a really big, comfortable bed and a great shower with lots of pressure. I couldn’t ask for much more from the room. Breakfast was the letdown. There wasn’t much choice, and the scrambled eggs were inedible. Still, I’d stay here again for sure.

The staff were helpful and nice, but I won’t be coming back. They don’t clean the rooms or replace the towels. My “queen bed” was just two twin beds pushed together, and they charged me $10 for an orange juice. Nice hotel, but they’re cheap.

The staff were friendly and kind, and breakfast tasted great. There’s a lovely restaurant just a three minute walk from the hotel, and a small billiard table out in the garden. I stayed only two nights but really enjoyed them. The interiors are beautiful and charming. I’ll be back.

My room suited me perfectly: modern, spotless, very cozy, and with a breathtaking mountain view. Next time I’ll try to book one with a balcony. The rate while I was there was surprisingly affordable for Chamonix, especially for a boutique hotel, and now I know where I’ll stay when I return. Hotel Eden feels like a little piece of heaven in Chamonix. I came across it while walking around town, and its compact, elegant, fairytale-like look drew me in. I booked just my last night there and regretted not spending my whole stay at the hotel. It seems freshly renovated, with thoughtful details and a cozy, home-like feel. The lobby is warm and inviting, and I could have spent the day there working on my laptop or relaxing. I’m vegan, so I didn’t eat at the breakfast buffet, but the place still felt calm and welcoming. Yelena at reception was especially kind, professional, and generous. She gave me a free train pass for rides throughout the Chamonix valley, which made my day. On my last morning I sat on the scenic train, looking at the mountains and resting after days of walking. It felt like a movie, just without the popcorn. Yelena speaks several languages, and we had a great conversation in Russian. She told me the hotel is owned by a woman who fled the war in Russia with her four children. The owner worked at the hotel while pregnant and even served drinks to guests herself. You can feel her spirit in every corner. There’s a soft, thoughtful, distinctly feminine quality to the place, and all the little touches feel full of care. Thank you to the owner for your strength and vision. What you’ve created is truly special. With love and deep appreciation, Rita.

There was no hot water when I showered at about 9:30 that night, which was really bad. The bathroom also had very little water, and the bathtub was so slippery that you had to watch your step. The hotel is close to the train station, but each passing train made the room vibrate and got very noisy. The next day we continued our TMB journey and came back to collect our luggage the day after. They charged us 10 euros to store it.
