Hôtel Le Morgane

The location is right in the heart of Chamonix, less than 10 minutes on foot from the center, train station, and bus stations, and close to activities. We also got discounts for nearby activities and ski equipment rental, plus a free train transportation ticket for our stay, with bus discounts too. Breakfast was nice, though I’d encourage trying the restaurants nearby, they’re all great! Camille welcomed us warmly and took time to share detailed ideas for our short 2 day stay. Thanks to him, our holiday got off to a superb start. We were lucky that the room was ready before check-in and got upgraded to a better one. It worked great for us as a couple, with a spacious bed and good bathrooms. The spa is good but on the small side, so it might get crowded at peak times. The service was great, and my wife was very happy with her massage. Staff were generally very helpful and did their best to accommodate our many questions and special requests. We had a fantastic experience from the moment we arrived. It was amazing, and I’d definitely recommend staying here! ❤️🙏

There are several other beautiful properties around here, and I strongly recommend choosing one of them. During our ski trip, multiple people in our group had valuables taken. We raised it with management, who basically said they weren’t liable for their own employees and that it was on us. The place is beautiful, but that left a sour taste in what was otherwise an amazing trip.

The staff are what make this hotel. I’ve travelled a lot and can’t remember staying anywhere with such great people across the board. The restaurant served the best food we had on our trip, wow! I’d stay here again any time.

Several valuable personal items went missing from my room during my stay. I wasn’t the only one affected: several colleagues staying at the hotel also had items disappear, including a wallet and jewelry. I reported it to hotel management and followed up by email, but never got a response from the manager about resolving it. I was told the hotel wasn’t liable for items that hadn’t been put in the safe. That lack of accountability and follow-up is unacceptable. Leaving things outside the safe doesn’t give housekeeping the right to take them. Given what happened and management’s complete lack of response, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The whole situation is frankly ridiculous and points to a serious failure in both security and customer service.
