Pointe Isabelle

Place du Poilu is a handy base, with cafés, buses and bikes right outside. Downstairs, the double doors, hard-wearing hex tiles, wipeable booths and well-organised bar work well for breakfast or coming back late. Reception were warm, kind and efficient, and the bar staff were cheerful and full of character. Our central twin room was quiet, with firm mattresses, soft pillows, fast Wi-Fi and handy power and USB ports. The balcony helped us air our gear, the heating responded well, and the windows sealed tightly. The bathroom had steady water temperature, mid-range pressure and was easy to clean down. A solid, practical hub for days in Chamonix.

In room 106, we had a clean, modern room and accommodating staff. Everyone was lovely, and the central location was great value. The gym and sauna were good too. I’ll be back.

Cami at the front desk made this stay for us: so welcoming, kind and helpful. The weather was partly terrible, but we still had a fabulous time. Most attractions are a short walk away. Check-in and check-out were easy, and we could pull up by car and get complimentary parking not too far away. The rooms are small but laid out really well, with shelving and hooks, and the bed was very comfortable. We’ll definitely return. I’m giving the hotel five stars mainly for the service.

The room had a 10/10 view of Mont Blanc. The gym was very efficient for a workout on the road, and I could do everything using cable machine variations. Amazing stay.
