Le Moulin Du Roc

The grounds at Moulin du Roc felt like a fairytale, with a peaceful river, lush gardens, and tucked-away terraces. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with its own terrace and a lovely mix of rustic charm and quiet luxury. We had aperitifs on one terrace, dinner on another, then coffee in the grand salon. Every moment felt special, and it was the perfect place for me to propose to my fiancé. The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable from the moment we arrived. Elian at reception was especially charming and attentive, making us feel welcome and cared for in every detail. Jamie and I have stayed in plenty of hotels, but this was our best experience by far. We'll absolutely be back. Moulin du Roc is an experience we'll carry with us forever.

My partner and I had the best hotel stay we've ever had. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are delightful, and every little detail made us feel like part of the family. We had a great night's sleep, the best so far on our vacation. From drinks before dinner through to coffee afterward, everything felt thoughtful. We've visited at least four times, and this time stayed for 8 days. I owed them a good review, since hospitality is demanding work and it's nice to spread the word. My husband really relaxes here, and there are lots of good reading nooks. The gardens and pool are beautiful, and dining by the creek is lovely. Emily makes choosing the room that suits us a pleasure. After three days, they started offering us different dinner choices, so we had fabulous food throughout our stay. Service is always courteous, with just the right amount of friendliness. They do what you need to help you enjoy your stay without intruding on your quiet time. My conscience is clear now! The service was my favorite part of our five-night, six-day stay at Moulin du Roc with our parents and children, ages 11 and 7. They greeted us, helped with our luggage, and met us each morning for breakfast with kind smiles. They even remembered our favorite dishes. In the evenings, we had incredible dinners, including a special menu after our second night. We had our own tables, so our group of six never had to worry about finding a place to sit. The beds were always made, treats were left in the rooms, and a packed pastry bag for our early drive to the airport was a great extra. We loved the pool, the big grassy areas for morning strolls, all the sitting spots, and the charming bridge where we watched fish and ducks swim. The location is quaint, private, and peaceful, which makes the hotel feel like a fairytale. It's not close to many restaurants or shops, and that added to the experience. We found several wonderful little towns, including Brontome. I'd absolutely recommend staying for multiple days.
