The night before our booking, we decided to take a rest day in Langres while cycling the Via Francigina. Even though the hotel was closed the next night for Good Friday, the owner was incredibly helpful by phone and on booking.com as we looked for another place to stay. She kindly waived the cancellation fee, too. When we reached Champlitte, cold, wet and hungry, she warmed our coats by the fire, let me change in the bathroom and made us a lovely lunch. She was so warm and kind to two pilgrims. I only wish we'd been able to stay there.

I was extremely disappointed. The photos show nearby attractions, not the hotel, and give a misleading impression of the place. The hotel itself looks very old and was dusty everywhere. It sits on a main street with no private parking, and getting in is difficult, especially for people with special needs. I wouldn't recommend it.

They still let us check in even though we were hours late. The rooms were perfect, and breakfast had a good variety. Really nice hotel.

The medieval city location is great, and the valet service to and from the parking was excellent. The room was an okay size, though it needed remodeling.

Right in the centre, and if you're visiting champlit, it seems to be the only option. That's about the best I can say. The place is mediocre, just a bed and bathroom, and everything needs a deep clean. I won't be back.
