A good stopover. The beds were comfortable, and the place felt clean and safe for a car full of luggage.

The service was the issue, not the money. The unit director told us we were the ones being unfair, then replied to an email saying, "I think I can live with the fact you won’t come in our hotel anymore." There was no apology, nothing. As a long-time Accor customer, from Ibis Budget to Novotel, I found that sad and disrespectful. I hope losing a customer across the Accor network was worth it. The infrastructure was very poor, like Ibis Budget, and noise carried badly between rooms. You could hear almost everything. The bed was uncomfortable, with a large bed and a very worn mattress that was uncomfortable on half of it, probably the more used side. Breakfast was poor too. Although there were lots of options, many were unavailable the whole time we were there: no croissants, cheese, or sausages. There was very little fruit, not enough for all of us, and no espresso cups. Nobody came to refill anything, and nobody was available to do it.

Jean, thank you so much. You went above and beyond when we were exhausted and had nowhere sorted out, and restored our faith in ibis. Our ibis Budget room had been cancelled without notice, and we arrived at ibis at 10 pm hoping for luck. There were no triple or family rooms left. I said we could take a double room and have someone sleep on the floor, but Jean suggested ibis style next door because the double room wouldn't fit someone on the floor. We explained we wanted to stick to our budget, and he quickly came up with another solution: he found us a room that could fit all three of us with our original plan, and provided all the extra amenities. He was running all over the place to make it work. We really appreciate his help, top service, and dedication to hospitality. I used to work at a 5-star hotel in Singapore, and Jean is absolutely a 5-star employee.

The accommodation was clean and acceptable, but after paying for breakfast, we found very little left at 9 am because nothing had been replenished.
