There isn't any parking on site. The public car park is unsecured and quite a walk away, across the canal. Still, it's a very nice place for a short stay, in an interesting, characterful building in a historic, picturesque village. Rooms seem to vary a lot; ours was spacious and modern.

The staff were very friendly. This is a beautiful, really romantic village, especially suited to couples and a little less so to families. The rooms are really overpriced.

I paid €95, which felt like a decent amount, for a tiny room called the alcove. There was barely space to put my luggage, no canal view, and no Wi-Fi as promised in the booking. At breakfast, the ham had mold and the yogurt was expired. When I mentioned the Wi-Fi, they didn't apologize and just said there was no Wi-Fi in the back building. For €95, that small room, no view, and no Wi-Fi were not what the listing had described. I wouldn't recommend it.

The setting at Le Doux Nid is beautiful, right beside the Savières Canal. The terraces, calm atmosphere, and water view make it a lovely spot for a meal or an aperitif. The food makes great use of local produce, with fresh, generous, flavorful dishes. It was wonderful to discover the place. Three passionate young people have recently taken it over and brought fresh life while keeping Chanaz's warm, authentic spirit. You can feel their care in both the welcome and the food. This successful handover deserves congratulations, and the place deserves to be known and supported.
