Le Bois d'Alice

We spent ages with Venus, the adorable cat we fell for straight away, and also got to see the llamas, horses, and donkey around the grounds. The pool and jacuzzi were lovely to enjoy, too. Our room, “A Second Wind,” was perfect, and Tom looked after us so well. Le Bois d’Alice is wrapped in nature and feels like a real change of scenery. The welcome was so warm, and the peaceful setting made it easy to recharge.

The heated pool and outdoor jacuzzi were fantastic, and breakfast was excellent. We found the guesthouse peaceful and beautifully set among nature, with llamas, ponies, a donkey, and sheep nearby. It had all the comforts we needed. Everyone was welcoming and helpful, and they were quick to answer our requests. Nothing to complain about, go without hesitation!

The garden animals and the view really round out the stay, and everything has a calm, luxurious feel. It’s also a handy base for visiting nearby villages, including Vonnas, where George Blanc has a restaurant. We had a wonderful time unwinding here. Tom was very friendly and attentive, and the service was superb.

Dinner was divine, we enjoyed every bit of it. The facilities were top-notch, and the setting was beautiful and so relaxing. We had a wonderful weekend, thanks in large part to Tom’s dedication and friendly manner. Definitely a place worth visiting. We’ll be back!
