Sure Hotel by Best Western Rennes Chantepie

We were moved from a family room to adjoining rooms when we arrived. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and speaking English was a big help. The hotel was clean and fresh, and the rooms were well laid out, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely too, and it felt like good value.

There are a couple of things to keep in mind: there's no elevator, though staff offered to carry our luggage, and it's not a four-star hotel, so don't expect staff or service around the clock. The restaurant is closed from Friday night until Sunday night. The baby cots could use replacing. They cost 50 euros, and newer ones would make a much better impression. We really liked the hotel and its location. The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to heat our food and lend us utensils and anything else we needed. We chose the buffet breakfast. It was decent, with some homemade cakes that you could tell were homemade, along with standard mid-range products and fresh fruit. We had hearty breakfasts, and the lovely staff didn't hurry us when we ran late. I took off one star because we were put on separate floors without being told in advance. We'd go back!

On our way south, we stayed here with our children and friends who also had children. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A lovely little spot.

Handy location, just two minutes from the highway. The staff are kind.
