La Grande Maison was our base while my sister and I drove around South Central France a few summers ago. We have roots there, and this gave us a real feel for life in the French countryside. La Grande Mason was just idyllic. I can’t put into words how wonderful the stay was. You have to be there to understand and appreciate it.

Marie-Louise is absolutely delightful, and the room was great and lovely and quiet. Breakfast was delicious too. We had a wonderful stay earlier this week.

We spent three wonderful nights in this lovely house right in the heart of a picturesque village. It feels timeless, but it’s still so comfortable. A fabulous place.

We had dinner and stayed one night at this beautifully restored place while on the "Burlap and Chainmail Robe" route. The welcome was charming, and everything was just right. Dinner was delicious, it was peaceful, and breakfast was generous with plenty of choice, which matters when you’re walking. Definitely recommend it.

At La Grande Maison we found the peace and quiet we needed. The owner gave us space, the staff were kind, and the property, its setting, and the surrounding area were beautiful. Everything was as we’d hoped.
