For the price, this was very disappointing. I specifically asked in French for no pickles and the waiter assured me there weren’t any. The food arrived at a reasonable pace, but it still had pickles. That wasn’t a language issue, as I asked in French. The waiter didn’t even write down my order and seemed not to take care with it.

We left without eating after being ignored for ten minutes. Nobody welcomed us or offered help with the menu. We spoke to the staff in English, but were handed French menus without a word. A simple greeting and an offer to translate would have made a difference. Running a restaurant isn’t that hard, so I don’t know if we missed out by leaving or avoided a bad meal.

The meal was really good, and the restaurant was busy and in a great location. It seems a good place for lunch or dinner, whether you’re in a group or on your own with a glass of vino to watch the world go by. My room was clean and fine for one night, and the service was fine, with friendly staff. There was no air conditioning, just a fan, and not everyone spoke English, so brush up on your French.

The location was excellent, and there’s parking behind the building if you ask the staff. My room was clean, charming and nice, and I slept well. The staff were friendly. Not everyone speaks English, but a little French is enough to manage. I stayed one night and didn’t eat at the restaurant.

Friendly staff, a cute room, decent food and a reasonable price. Charming and uncomplicated.
