Logis Hotel Cadusia

Breakfast was outstanding, with a great choice and quality. The night before, dinner was excellent too: we started with gambas and tuna, then both had daurade, and I had dessert. The portions were generous. Service was good, though the staff seemed under pressure and things were a little slow. We stopped overnight while travelling south, and Chaource was new to us. The village was lovely, especially the church, which was well worth visiting. The hotel was what you’d hope for from a good Logis, with a comfortable room, excellent bedding, and such good soundproofing that it was really quiet. Totally recommended!

We booked this place specifically because it was advertised with a sauna and hot tub. At check-in they charged us twice, and after that we were told there was no sauna, steam room, or hot tub. The pool was at another hotel, 5 km away. Then there was talk of a 50 Euro sauna fee, even though the owner had just said the sauna didn’t exist. After a battle, we got one of the duplicate charges refunded. The photos are fake, and there is no honesty in the advertising. There’s nothing special here: the rooms are small and dingy, the single beds are tiny and separate, and there are no views or anything of interest or value. No sauna, no hot tub. Don’t stay here. All lies.

This review is only about the restaurant, since we stayed nearby. Our accommodation recommended it, but we left very disappointed, with stomach aches. The food was basic and overpriced. My daughter got one beef patty on a plate, and my son's kids burger was the same size as my husband's adult burger, which was small. They brought one big bowl of undercooked chips for everyone to share. The host welcomed us warmly, but the serving staff seemed stressed and overworked. My son also got stuck in the toilet when its old lock jammed. We all left disappointed.
