Camping des Platanes

We had a pool, though the weather wasn't quite warm enough for us to try it, and the walk into town was easy and flat. There's a well-stocked supermarket there, plus a restaurant, bar, and bread shop. Our pitch was roomy and screened by hedges, and the showers, toilets, and washing areas were all very clean. The laundry room even had an ironing board and an airing rack.

We arrived late, and the campsite manager was really helpful. Our pitch was lovely, tucked among hedges, and the shower block was good and clean. A great place to stop overnight.

It was a nice, quiet campsite in September, with mostly older guests while I was there. One of our four nights was disrupted by a party at a neighboring house that lasted until four in the morning, though it may have been a one-off. Some of the staff gave me the impression they'd rather be elsewhere. The area is quite tame for France, despite being fairly close to Paris.

Handy for a couple of nights while travelling to or from Calais. The campsite sits at the edge of town, and you can walk in for bread in the morning. The toilet and shower block were fine. Pitches may get muddy after rain, and ones by the pool can be noisy from the school and bins.
