We could walk straight from the property onto hiking trails, and the town is very close too. It’s a peaceful spot, with postcard-like views from the house and pool. The home is beautiful and has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Booking was easy, and the hosts made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. A lovely place for a weekend or a longer stay exploring the region.

I called the gîte owner to arrange a full week and asked whether I could bring my small, clean, well-behaved 20kg dog. She didn’t seem sure what to say, and in the end turned down the reservation, which wasted my time. I’m used to traveling with him and even offered to pay an extra fee to show she could trust us, but she still said no. This should at least be stated on the website. Oh well, we’ll book somewhere else :)

We had a wonderful romantic weekend here and I’d happily come back. The cottage is magnificent, and we were welcomed warmly. No regrets at all!

A week after my reservation had been confirmed, I found out by chance that the lodge was no longer available. The manager canceled it without an apology or any concession. I wouldn’t choose this for a romantic weekend, unless you want to risk sleeping in the car!

The private spa adjoins the bedroom, so we could go between the jacuzzi, sauna, and walk-in shower whenever we liked. Everything was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the host was discreet but available. The cottage itself is spacious and modern, with lovely decor, a real feast for the eyes. A very pleasant, relaxing place that I highly recommend.
