Kyriad Direct Poitiers - Gare du Futuroscope

I’ve stayed at B&B hotels many times and usually found them good value, but I won’t come back to this one. My first-floor room smelled so strongly of bleach or disinfectant that I coughed through the night and my mouth got really dry. The flashing fire sensor kept going all night too. I didn’t tell reception because nobody was there, and honestly I just wanted to leave in the morning. Then, about three hours after I’d left, I got a call from the hotel. A very rude woman accused me of smoking in the room and demanded to know why I’d done it. I told her I hadn’t, and that I haven’t smoked for nearly a year, but she insisted I had and said never to return. I certainly won’t.

A handy, affordable hotel. Check-in was easy, the room was clean, and parking was good.

It’s a cheap hotel near futuroscope, but check the walking time yourself. A third party had us thinking it was five minutes away, when it was really 15. The rooms were okay, although odd smells seemed to come from somewhere, and in the morning the breakfast oven smell filled the room.

Sarah and Steven were so welcoming. They helped me sort out a late-night check-in problem and were lovely again in the morning. Great treatment, and I’d strongly recommend staying here when visiting the area.
