I stayed in the charming “classic” chalet, quiet and surrounded by nature. The park was beautifully landscaped but still felt natural, not overly manicured. Dinner at the restaurant L’Écrin was great, with a good tapas selection, and the spotless spa in its idyllic setting was pure relaxation. After a long drive, I especially recommend the aquatizer. The Manoir feels like a timeless escape. It’s just off the Autoroute, so it was quick and easy to reach for a one-night stop, and I’ll think of it again next time I need a layover.

We stopped for lunch on our long drive home, just 10 minutes from the highway. Sitting under a tree on the terrace, we enjoyed the lovely view. The staff were very friendly, and the food was fresh, tasty, and inventive. We hope we can return for at least a night and enjoy the pool, gardens, and spa.

The room was big and clean, and the staff were helpful and nice. It was the same girl all day, checking us in, tending the bar, serving as waitress, and handling reception. But we were very disappointed. After reading the hotel website, we booked a room and dinner, expecting the place to look as lovely as its pictures. It’s a pity, because it must have been very nice once, but now it feels run down and unattended, and needs a lot of attention. That starts with the garden, which needs decent new furniture. The outdoor pool looked nice, but I couldn’t swim in it. The spa was closed and messy, with broken furniture outside. We were the only guests in the restaurant. The food was fine, but this certainly isn’t a gourmet restaurant. We should have driven somewhere else for dinner.

The romantic garden and the nice view made this a lovely place to stay. We had a very good, complete breakfast, and the rooms were romantic with comfortable beds. Service was very good, too. Great hotel, and we’ll come back.

The charming room was a great place to rest, and the “Bistronimique” food is worth trying if you’re visiting nearby. The Roure Mansion is peaceful and wonderful, yet not far from the highway.
