La Tonnellerie

We had a really pleasant evening by the river and will definitely come back. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, which is why we rarely give five stars but loved this place. Our mixed starters came with superb satay sauce, then we had beautifully cooked green Thai curries and finished with apple pie in thin pastry. The waiter was engaged with customers and knew the cuisine well. Thanks to the host and staff.

The view was lovely, and listening to the water was so calming. The two dogs were adorable too. We really enjoyed the tasty food, with a nice kick, and the service was great. The owner was very pleasant. Thanks, cheffe, we'll definitely be back.

Dinner outside in the late summer weather was lovely. The food was delicious, and the local wines were interesting. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, with great English. Such an idyllic canal-side spot, where you can enjoy high home-style Thai food alongside French gastronomie. The waterfall and birds by the weir made the evening feel even more special.

A cosy feel inside, and on a nice day you can sit outside and enjoy a gorgeous view over the Charente. The food is really good, and the staff are so welcoming. I recommend this restaurant!
