I was there for a few nights for a friend's wedding. The rooms are basic but have what you need, and the location is great, with some parking in the yard beside the hotel. One staff member seemed to take care of everything and was very helpful. They even offered to go home and fetch an iron for a guest.

It’s frustrating to leave a bad review because the landlady is nice, but the stay was a letdown. The hotel only opens at 5:30 pm, and we waited outside for hours in 35-degree heat. When it finally opened, the landlady was away somewhere that wasn’t open or interesting, while several of us were left waiting outside. The rooms had neither air conditioning nor fans despite the intense heat. Breakfast was minimal, if that. The service was poor, and I’d never stay here again. We’ve stayed in hotels all over the world, but have never before had to wait hours outside one. Even in remote hotels in Asia or Africa, there’s at least been a fan in the room. Zero score.

I stayed here 20 years ago, and a lot has changed. We stopped in for a glass of wine, and the lady at the front of the house was very welcoming. It was lovely to revisit old memories.

The house is old but has been renovated well, and we had a nice room. We enjoyed our stay and got a very friendly welcome.
