The next morning we had a substantial, delicious breakfast, after an evening when our host drove us to a delightful restaurant and arranged for someone to bring us back because the route was quite complicated. We’d arrived exhausted after a long drive, and Jean-Paul and Chantal were waiting outside to greet us and carried our bags upstairs. Our beautifully decorated room had a king size bed and lots of cupboard space. The en suite had a double sink and an extremely spacious shower stall, handy if you’re travelling with children. Towels, toiletries and bathrobes were provided, and there was a small sink and hand towels in the separate lavatory. Everything was spotless, and cold drinks were available in the mini fridge. We were met with nothing but kindness and will certainly return.

Breakfast on the terrace was beautifully presented and delicious, and you can pull up right outside the house to unload your bags, which is very convenient. Chantal and her husband have turned their former restaurant into a spacious, green, wonderfully peaceful haven. The room was comfortable and charmingly decorated, and the bathroom was a good size. The one small drawback is that the pool only opens from 4:30 pm to 9 pm. I’d recommend it for a weekend away or a stopover.

The cottage by the pool was cozy, cute and functional, with everything we needed. Breakfast was only €8 per person and was a real treat. We had a fantastic welcome for our 20th anniversary and 10th wedding anniversary. From outside, the place looks pretty standard, but inside it feels idyllic, full of greenery, plants, flowers and tasteful decor. It’s a welcome break from car horns and other random city noises, and the pool is fantastic. One suggestion might be a bigger TV, though you still have to enjoy watching it. The photos speak for themselves, so enjoy, and don’t hesitate!

We had a lovely welcome, and both the room and breakfast were great. Breakfast is served outside in a pretty, flower-filled setting. I didn’t get a chance to try the pool. I recommend it.

I spent two days here for work, and the place and warm welcome gave me a dream break in the middle of the health crisis. I was able to recharge and get back on the road feeling good. Thanks again. I can’t wait to come back to work in Châteauroux!
