Central Chatel Getaway

The pool was a bit cold, and there aren't any hot showers in that area, so it felt chilly. Still, we had a great stay and the facilities are good. The hotel is close to everything important. Checkout was stressful with small kids because we had to take out the trash, strip the beds and put the linen in a laundry bag, clean the kitchen, and do a lot more ourselves before 10:00.

We really enjoyed staying here. The apartment was comfortable, and all the appliances were new and working. The terrace was beautiful, with a great view over the city and mountains. Basement parking is useful in winter, the ski storage cubicles were good, and reception is open 24/7.

The location was perfect, with the closest lift I've ever had. But the room wasn't as good as the one I had last year in Tignes. The ski lockers are far too small, so we had to bring our ski boots back to the room every day. Having just one toilet in an apartment for up to 6 people is poor.

The kids loved the swimming pool, which is a great area. The hotel sits right at the foot of the super Chatel gondola. The rooms are smart inside, and I always ask for a village view to avoid the gondola noise in the morning and the club at night. There's a small bar, but I've never seen anyone working there.
