We had a fantastic time and would go back. The chalet girls were welcoming and accommodating with our group of 20, and nothing felt like too much trouble. Our group included skiers, snowboarders, and people who didn’t ski. Breakfast was great. The girls had one day off while we were there, which is fair, and they prepared breakfast ahead of time, so it wasn’t a problem. Drinks were well stocked. The food was better on some days than others, but with 20 people having very different tastes, I can’t complain. For a large group, I’d book restaurants in advance because places wouldn’t take walk-ins. We’d let the staff know ahead of time, so there was no waste.

There were 20 of us when we stayed last year, and it was great value for money. The ladies looking after us were lovely and did their best to accommodate everyone. The food was okay, though it didn’t suit all our different tastes. They even arranged a birthday cake, and the staff were amazing when one of our group ended up in hospital for a week. I’d return anytime.

The Hotel Chalet Alpaka is in a quiet spot, yet the village center and its shops and restaurants are only about a four-minute walk away. We thought the value for money was excellent, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of choice and good-quality food. We stayed three nights in August 2025 while touring the Western Alps on two motorcycles. We could park the bikes in front of the hotel for free. Our room was #11, a cozy balcony room under the eaves. It and the rest of the hotel were very clean, though the bathroom with its shower and toilet felt a bit small. Alexine, the young owner who took over from her parents some time ago, was friendly, welcoming, and quick to help with requests. Her cousin Delphine was just as helpful. We were 70 and 66, and had a very pleasant stay.

The manager deserves a special thank you. She was so pleasant and attentive, and her warm welcome and availability really made a difference. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities met our expectations. We had an excellent stay and would gladly return. Highly recommend this hotel.
