The castle setting is a treat, with rustic furniture that fits the historic feel. It was quiet, clean, and cosy, and the staff made us feel welcome. Getting there does mean having a car, though. Then again, it is a castle, so what do you expect?

Big thumbs up to the lovely lady who runs this place. She takes gentle care of things, and the whole place feels thoughtfully put together.

This site is intended for a future eco-hamlet project, with wellness activities planned too.

We were given such a warm, friendly welcome. The rooms were comfortable, the meals excellent, and the rural setting had plenty of charm.

The meal was extraordinary, and the setting was really, really great.
