The staff are super friendly, and there’s plenty for kids to enjoy, including nice pools. The kayaking is well organized and even the pizza machine works. But the toilets and showers were awful: too few, and everything was dirty. I’d come back for the campsite itself, if the sanitary facilities weren’t so horrible.

We were a family of four and still had a great holiday, even though staff weren’t very attentive. I asked three times for a replacement battery for the missing smoke alarm, and nothing was done. The mobile home was okay and the on-site facilities were limited. It’s a small, quiet site, so don’t expect much to do beyond swimming, fishing and canoeing. The pool is excellent but small, and the prices were very reasonable. The location’s great for visiting places like Beaumes les messieurs and cascades d'Herisson, or swimming and using pedalos at lac de Chalain. It seems especially suited to the quieter, later part of the season.

We had clean bathrooms and nicely warm water, plus a good swimming pool, a baby bath and two waterslides. It was perhaps a little too quiet during the Covid-19 period. You can order a meal or grab a pizza from a machine, which is a bit unexpected. The campground sits beside the river, and the kayak trip finishes right there. Lac du Chalain is close by and a must-see if you enjoy being on the water, whether on a SUP or a watercycle.

The canoe trip was the highlight: a minibus takes you upriver, then you paddle 10-12k back down to the campsite. Brilliant day out, and I can highly recommend it. The place was very quiet when we stayed, but everything was open. There’s a nice heated pool, a couple of waterslides and a bouncy castle. The staff were super friendly when we arrived and throughout our stay.
