Beausejour Hotel

The walled historic town is well worth exploring, with several good, reasonably priced restaurants inside. The hotel is about a five-minute walk away. It's a handy stop when driving toward the South of France, with clean rooms, comfortable beds, a decent shower, and very good value. Things are a little basic, but it worked well for us.

We stayed one night and found the place clean and cozy. The owner was very friendly and accommodating, and even offered to help unload our car. His English wasn't very good, but we got by with the little French we knew.

The location made this a convenient stay, with a short walk to the lovely medieval town on the hill and free parking outside. Hôtel Beauséjour also has a pleasant garden and a picnic table. The owner was friendly and helpful, and I had the impression he was running the place on his own. It's very budget friendly, too. Our room was small and basic, but the bed was comfortable. Even in the heat outside, the blinds kept it cool, and running the fan briefly in the evenings helped us sleep well. There is no air conditioning. The bathroom was clean, though water got across the floor while we showered. Breakfast was very basic, just bread and croissants with butter and jam, plus some yoghurt. We missed having cheese or ham, and I wouldn't recommend breakfast here.

Spacious dining room, fair prices, and good French country cooking.
