We spent a day out touring on the electric bikes we hired, which was lovely. The owners are so friendly, and the rooms are beautiful and tidy. Breakfast is shared around one table with all the guests, so there's a chance to chat and get to know people.

Elisabeth and Jean-Michel were so generous with us, and the children love coming back each year to help out on the farm and learn from such wonderful hosts. Meals at the shared table are all homemade and delicious, with ingredients from their farm and garden. The quiet rooms make for genuinely restful sleep. What a peaceful little haven. We loved the meals and the conversations around the big table in the lounge, especially with the fireplace going and guests from all over. Elisabeth and Jean-Michel give such a warm welcome. The restored barn has ping-pong and foosball, and you can rent e-bikes, which are great for the hills. It's also very child-friendly. The rooms are cozy, simple, spotless, and have everything you need. Inside, the impressive roof beams are lovely to see, and outside there are the rolling hills of Burgundy. We'll definitely come back!

Sharing dinner with the hosts and other guests in the historic hall was a real pleasure, with good food, wine, and conversation each evening. Over our 11 nights at La Tour de Giry, Elisabeth and Jean-Michel also gave us plenty of helpful tips, making our time in beautiful Burgundy unforgettable. They have lovingly restored this former manor house and estate, and we enjoyed exploring the house and its history. The welcome was very warm, and our room was clean, fresh, and well cared for. Breakfast was good, and the five-course dinners were delicious, made with produce from their farm, vegetable garden, and the region. Thank you, Elisabeth and Jean-Michel, for your hospitality and warmth.
